Each physician had practiced in their own office prior to serving in the military when they purchased a three story apartment building at 1820 West Third Street. It was considered to be midway between their then present offices. The Davenport Clinic continues to reside at the same address today.

As time progressed the practice outgrew their quarters and the entire block was purchased, one building at a time. Eventually the purchased buildings were razed to make room for remodeling and parking.

Over the years there were several remodeling projects and at its peak it was home to fourteen physicians and a dentist. Dr. Neufeld worked there until his death in 1978 and Dr. Sunderbruch worked until his forced retirement in 2002. Today this establishment stands as a testament to the ongoing philosophy of quality health care.
