Dr. Ann O'Donnell
Dr. O'Donnell was born in Davenport, the oldest of five children. Her parents, Skip and Pat O'Donnell, sent her to St. Mary's and Monroe grade schools, Frank L. Smart through middle school and then she graduated from Assumption High School. Initially she attended Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses and practiced as an RN for eleven years at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and Genesis Medical Center. She also worked as a paramedic for Medic Ambulance. She returned to school at St. Ambrose University where she obtained a BA degree prior to attending the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. As a Doctor of Osteopathy she returned to the Quad-Cities in 1998 to initially practice with River Valley Healthcare. She enjoyed a busy practice there but in 2001 she moved to the Davenport Clinic to work with her grandfather, Dr. J.H. Sunderbruch. They were able to work together for more than two years until his retirement. Since then she has taken over as owner and the rest, as they say, is history. She was also a founder and co-owner of Quad-City Occupational Health for three years.
In 2000 Dr. O'Donnell married Mark. She became a mother to Kenzie who was nine years old at the time. In 2004 Dr. O'Donnell and her husband became parents again to Joseph William. If there is spare time Dr. O'Donnell enjoys watching high school and college sports, especially when her nieces and nephews are playing. She also enjoys playing golf, traveling, spending time with her extended family and just being a Mom. Other professional and community responsibilities for Dr. O'Donnell include acting as the Medical Director for Ridgecrest Retirement Village, The Handicapped Development Center and Hospice Compassus.
